Principal

I am thrilled to return to Excelsior’s Victorville Campus—where my journey in education began! My name is Dr. Sandy Sooter, and I am honored to serve as your Principal. Being back feels like coming home, and I’m excited to reconnect with our returning students, meet new ones, and work alongside the experienced staff and AMAZING families who make this campus so special.

Excelsior’s mission, “Together, preparing students to be successful adults,” has always guided my work. As a parent of three Excelsior graduates, I have seen firsthand the incredible value of our dual enrollment opportunities with VVC. Through this program, my children earned Associate degrees at the same time as their high school diplomas—saving our family two years of college tuition while setting them on a path to future success!

Before beginning my career in education, I worked in the entertainment industry, where I honed skills in leadership and collaboration that now shape my approach as an educator. My career at Excelsior began over a decade ago as a music teacher here in Victorville, followed by roles as Assistant Principal and Interim Principal at our Redlands Campus. These experiences, combined with my passion for education and the arts, inspire me to help students thrive academically, socially, and creatively.
